To import and edit Canon XF705 4K MXF videos in Final Cut Pro smoothly, you need to convert the H.265 or MPEG-4 codec to ProRes on Mac. I recorded 5 MXF videos with Canon XF705 a few days ago. I copied the .MXF files to my local computer. When I tried playing the movies on my video player, the .mxf files cannot be recognized.
