Sony PXW-Z150 Premiere Pro CC/CS6/CS5

The Sony PXW-Z150 XAVC keeps the design philosophy of the previous PMW models in that it uses a manual lens with a 29.3-499 mm focal length range with iris/zoom/focus rings on the barrel with end stops. Recording codecs include 10-bit XAVC at up to 112 Mbps in intraframe mode, and 50/35/25 Mbps in Long GOP modes. I have got a Sony PXW-Z150 for days. Just curious if people can work with Sony PXW-Z150 XAVC in Final Cut Pro natively as I plan to edit the XAVC clips from Sony PXW-Z150 in FCP creating some effects I want.

I have scoured the internet, tried everything I could find about the Sony PWX-Z150 XAVC to Final Cut Pro workflow. The final result I found from all relevant forums is that FCP doesn't do XAVC files perfectly especially in FCP X, FCP 7 abd FCP 6. A decent solution is to use a third-party video app to convert Sony PXW-Z150 XAVC clips to Fianl Cut Pro native format before editing. Acrok MXF Converter for Mac is what most guys recommend.
